Best Time to GO
The dry season, July to September is an excellent time to visit and for game viewing. October would be the peak time to go game viewing however, the heat may be quite high. The lack of water in Hwange means animals need to visit the watering holes in the dry season. The foliage is also less dense than the wet season (November to March) making game viewing easier. May to September are also the best times to visit the Victoria Falls.

Today your African adventure starts.
On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport you will be met by your driver who will transfer you by road to Hwange, to Mbala Gate.
The transfer takes 2 hours in an air-conditioned minibus, on a wide tar road, the last 20km on a gravel road.
At Mbala Gate you will be met by your guide, and driven though the Hwange National park, game viewing en route to Camp Hwange.
Camp Hwange, situated in the remote and private Shapi Pans concession within the vast Hwange National Park, is one of the few camps built within the park.
Hwange is legendary for its wonderful array of wildlife, particularly the massive herds of elephant and buffalo, and summer sees the large antelope herds migrate onto the plains, closely followed by large predators.
The camp is built on the ground, under Teak trees, providing panoramic unique views over the Danga Pan with its excellent concentrations of wildlife.
